How to Love Your Laundry Room

Have you ever thought about how many hours you spend in your laundry room if you add them at the end of every week? If you're like me there is very little these days that go by without doing at least one load of laundry. This was the case, it makes sense to decorate your laundry room in the style or theme that pleases you and help the task of washing clothes a little more fun.

What makes you happy and please your eye? Is the beach, antiques, artwork, color red? Whatever it is, remember that you do not need to decorate your laundry room with the same style or theme as the rest of your home. The first step to decorating your laundry room is to choose a theme. Whether it be they tropical or vintage they are, bring it out through the entire laundry room.

For example, I decorated my laundry room in a vintage theme. In neutral-colored wall, I put a collection of vintage washboards on one wall and a piece of antique art on the walls faux another. I also added some authentic old metal shelves vintage mixed with a detergent box. To continue the vintage theme, I add an antique look wallpaper bord
er near the ceiling to look for scrap metal and washboards on it. To give the room looks cheerful, I added a collection of weathered and green basket at the top of the cupboard above the washer and dryer. I put the coordinating throw rug on the floor tiles to cushion and comfort my feet while I'm washing clothes. Finally, I add the perfect window treatments to allow just the right amount of light in the laundry room and make me look full.

If you choose not to use a decorating theme in your laundry room, you can easily turn the room with colorful paint on the walls, updated or painted cabinets, artwork, flowers, and upgraded flooring. Make sure the floor is forgiving spills. Vinyl flooring, laminate flooring, and ceramic tile are good choices.

If you decide to paint the walls in your laundry room you
may want to paint just one wall leaving the other walls neutral in color. Very colorful paint colors will reflect on the clothing so it is difficult to see the stains. If your laundry room has fluorescent lighting, which has a blue cast, neutral colors with yellow tone to help fight the blue.

Perhaps the best way to love your laundry room is to set it so you know where all the detergents and stain removers. The following tips can help you organize your laundry room.

    * If your laundry room has counter space, keep tidy so that you can use it for folding clothes. If you do not have a counter in your laundry room, buy a small melamine table stain resistant and water resistant to give you space to sort and fold your laundry.

    * Save detergent, stain removers, sponges, and other laundry room equipment in cabinets or on shelves above the washer. You also may want to install ad
ditional shelving or cabinets premade in your laundry room for extra storage.

    * Choosing to ironing board that can be mounted on walls or the style of over-the-door. Style Over-the-door does not require installation and hanging over the door frame, drops down when you have to use it, and locked back in place after completion.

    * If space is a problem, consider installing a retractable clothesline for air drying clothes. Type clothesline comfortable, affordable and easy to install.

    * Purchase laundry hamper on wheels so you can move it out of the way when necessary.

    * Consider hanging laundry bag will help you to presort laundry every day. This setting does not require floor space making it ideal for a small laundry room.

Decorating your laundry room in a pleasant style that you might actually change your attitude about doing the laundry. Because the laundry is a daily task for most of us, we might as well try and do the best with a large laundry room!
